It's all about the Gold !

I am in awe of the Olympics, the dedication, the concentration, the perseverance. These men and women have prepared for their whole life for this very moment in time. The parade of athletes entering the stadium, country by country, sport by sport, ready to compete with the worlds best. There was tension on their faces, determination in their heart, as they were eager to let the games begin. As we watched the opening ceremonies there was one young man always smiling, looking relaxed and enjoying the entertainment. Last night Shaun White wowed the world with another spectacular double double twist. My daughter discovered the secret to his joy and why he was the only one smiling. All the rest of the athletes have been training, sacrificing and practicing for hours daily for most of their lives. Not Shaun, he was just a kid who liked to go outside and play, now he goes outside and plays in the snow a couple of hours a day. He isn't smiling, he is laughing, laughing at all the other athletes who worked so hard for what just seems easy for him.
